The Bible Of Luke And Mark - 1565 Words
Throughout the books of Luke and Mark, there are several different views on the life of Christ. In both, Christ is portrayed as a teacher who gives out advice as well as a miracle worker. Christ frequently says ââ¬Å"Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laughâ⬠Christ is portrayed to be kind and well giving to those who are in need but he seems to be hostile to those who are rich and well fed. Overall, Luke and Mark have similar views on the life of Christ but they have many more different views on Christ. In the book of Mark, Christ is portrayed as one who is secretive because he is often times trying to keep secrets and he is trying to hide the truth from others, whereas, in the book of Luke it tells of the origins, birth, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. One of the most often thought about name changes in the bible is Saul to Paul. Many people think that God was the reason behind this name change. Though he changed Simons
